Flowers, Always On Trend?

With the markets saturated with images of flowers, sales continue with photographers and painters etc still producing works of merit using this subject. So I started to question why does this trend never seem to tire?  I love contemporary paintings and photography that make me think. I love to be made to question, its important to me and I believe the whole of humanity. However, I think there is also room for art that isn't taxing and doesn't ruffle feathers, something that offers calm, familiarity and welcome in this ever frantic world, is that really what people desire?  Decorating the interiors of our...

Are you getting your Christmas on early?

Art is very personal choice, so a gift of artwork says that person understands you or is at least trying. Whether you're into photography, oils or watercolours, ceramics or felt-work, or if you want to make a statement or simply decorate your home, there is room for all. I like that she is so small in the image…showing the scale of cliffs behind, and the footprints of all the people who were there beforehand. My giclee prints are produced using the finest thick art papers which produce a beautifully rich velvety...

Can You Live Without Art On Your Walls?

The answer for me is of course a resounding NO!  No home, hotel, restaurant or workspace is complete without artwork in my opinion. Even the simplest of homes will have some sort of creativity incorporated somewhere. Interior designers know the importance of this to bring individuality, personality, focus, cohesion and finishing touches to their design themes.  My theme is of course nature, so, as studies have found being around nature is proven to bring harmony and aid relaxation a naturalistic approach to your design theme will help to create a peaceful interior.  The photograph here is called 'The Last Nudist', an image suggesting inhibition and freedom...
