With the markets saturated with images of flowers, sales continue with photographers and painters etc still producing works of merit using this subject. So I started to question why does this trend never seem to tire?  I love contemporary paintings and photography that make me think. Flowers hold many symbolic meanings, from the colours of roses to the sentiments when given as gifts. For me the Bleeding Heart, just by its very name let alone of its form, is one of the most romantic. Symbolising love, passion, unrequited love or a broken heart.
